Seafront padel club

A padel club on the seafront, where artificial grass covers both the courts and the whole living space around them: walkways, terraces and lounging areas.

The seafront is the hardest context there is for an outdoor surface. Salt attacks it, sand works into the infill, and the wind keeps moving it around. So it needs a grass whose fibre resists UV and salt, and drainage that clears fast, because standing salt water damages the base quicker than rainwater does.

On the courts themselves, the amount of sand decides ball speed and slide. It is set during installation, then checked again after the first few weeks of play.
