Timadikin municipal stadium, Ifrane

Renovation of the pitch at the Timadikin municipal stadium in Ifrane, as part of a project run with the Agence Régionale d’Exécution des Projets. The site also gained new stands.

Ifrane brings a constraint few Moroccan towns share: frost and snow in winter. A natural pitch there is unplayable for several weeks a year. Artificial grass with proper drainage takes the freeze-thaw cycle and keeps the pitch available all year, which is the main reason mid-altitude municipalities are switching.

A municipal facility like this hosts local clubs, schools and town events: several different uses a day on the same surface.
